Master of Science Program: Management

WHAT'S NEW?

These management programs focus on the practice of management in technical and non-technical organizations and are grounded in a variety of analytic and administrative skills drawn from the disciplines of economics, organizational behavior and quantitative methods.
Knowledge of these skills alone does not guarantee success as a manager. Rather, it is the steady development of conceptual and integrative skills, and the active blending of these basic areas of knowledge necessary to identify organizational problems, analyze them, synthesize solutions, and then implement the decisions that signal the growth of professional competence.

The Master's degree is designed to enhance student development of this knowledge and to prepare its graduates to function effectively in technical and non-technical management positions.

Unique strengths of the Master of Science in Management programs are:
- Relatively Small Class Sizes
- Convenient Evening Course Offerings
- On- and Off-Campus Locations
- Strong Emphasis on Teamwork and Presentation Skills in Course Assignments
- Coverage and discussion of contemporary issues of management in a global environment

Requirements and Duration

In contrast to typical MBA programs requiring up to 18 or 24 courses, Stevens offers a 12-course, 36 credit program leading to the degree of Master of Science in Management.

Part-time students typically complete the degree requirements after two to three years of study; full time students in three or four semesters.
